The Grande Seconde is one of Jaquet Droz' signature models. The subdials of the off-center hours & minutes and small seconds overlap to form a poetic figure 8, a configuration based on historical pocket watches from the Jaquet Droz archives. The unusual mix of Roman and Arabic numerals is inspired by these pocket watches as well. The Grande Seconde Black Enamel J014013200 has a red gold case and an black grand feu enamel dial.
