Calatrava wristwatch with cloisonné enamel dial enriched with gold powder. The textiles of the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, famous for their wealth of traditional motifs and sumptuous colors and the hand-weaving technique passed down from mother to daughter, inspired this limited edition in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel. The dial, resplendent in curves and volutes, called for no less than 42 cm of gold wire of a thickness of only 0.05 or 0.1 mm, and opaque and transparent enamels in 8 colors. To refine the details and illuminate the motifs the enameler incorporated 24-carat gold powder, particularly in the flowers and the geometric patterns. Each dial underwent 10 firings at a temperature of approximately 850°C. Housed in a platinum case, the caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement may be admired through the sapphire-crystal back.
