With its clean and sober style, the Patek 5196 is a direct descendant of the original ref. 96 Calatrava of 1932. The version showed here, ref. 5196P-001, has a look that is quite different compared to its gold counterparts: it features Breguet numerals and feuille hands. The size of the 5196 however is a contemporary 37mm, while it is powered by the traditional hand-wound, small seconds caliber 215 PS.
