Introduced in 2015, the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955 is a platinum chronograph model with fancy lugs in tear drop / cows horn design. Its design is a contemporary interpretation of the first water-resistant and anti-magnetic chronograph presented by Vacheron Constantin - the 1955 reference 6087, a 35mm chronograph powered by caliber 492, which was made in yellow gold, pink gold and platinum for a total of 36 examples. The Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955 ref. 5000H/000P-B058 is powered by caliber 1142, which is Vacheron Constantin's interpretation of the Lemania 2310, a movement that also served as the base for Omega's caliber 321 and Patek Philippe's CH 27-70 family. The platinum case of the Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955 measures 38.5mm across, a reasonable update from its source of inspiration.
